Hmmm... looking at my terminal area chart right now... I could pull it off. I would have to stay under 4000 feet anyway to keep clear of Sky Harbor'* airspace. Looks like the peak of that mountain is almost 2400 feet, and there'* also a sizeable radio or cell tower in the vicinity.
Actually, I just realized I flew over your area on Tuesday morning. We headed up to Lake Pleasant, then turned southeast for Squaw Peak, which looks to be just a little south of you. I would have passed just to the west of your neighborhood at about 5000 feet, because we were lining up to transition over Sky Harbor'* airspace.

Don't get me wrong... I'm loving every minute of it. I'm just having a hard time realizing that I don't have near as much free time anymore. I'm about to sit down and study for an important test that I have to take this afternoon, and then I fly sometime after 8pm.
Bob, there will come a day when I can head over to your place and screw around with the cars. I'm just not sure how soon that will be. However, in a couple weeks I'll be certificated to carry passengers, so if you want to see Phoenix from the air let me know . If I'm going to be flying anyway, I might as well take someone with me!
