"System" is the tricky part. Some thinks it means just the Main (box, PC, Part, Workings) what ever.. But smart people that have commonsense like Us know that when you buy a "game system: it always comes with the power supply.
I would contact ebay and paypal on this one

Looks like you already posted feedback, but in this case I would wait until the last day feedback can be posted (what is it? 90 days) and then post the neutral feedback and hope the seller doesn't see your feedback until it'* too late, otherwise they can turn on you and give negative feedback because of it, but if they have a conscience they'll only respond with positive or neutral at worst.

The goodnews is I got it working with a power supply from a USBhub I had laying around with virtually identical power output settings. I'm done with this sale and moving on. I'll just wait and see what he replies with for my feedback and go from there. Until then...

I would have given him positive, you got what was in the description. I've only left 2 negatives out of about 600 auctions, one for not paying for an item, the other was when the item got lost by the post office and the seller could not provide a tracking number, I took a hit on the second one but other than that I'd say he should get a positive, the power supply WAS NOT PICTURED, and was not mentioned to be included so you can naturally assume it is NOT included.
Thats why I closed my ebay account 2 years ago from dealing wioth lying POS'* like that, just burns me to no end..
I bet I have one here some where,I even have a game too if I find the cord..

No need to close accounts. That'* like shooting yourself in the foot. Ebay has many great sellers and buyers.
Lesson learned in my book. The feedback left is appropriate and informs other buyers of the lack of wording regarding what the "system" comes with for future auctions.
I ask questions when I don't see something in the picture and when I'm selling...everything goes in the picture.

Yea, I learned my lesson about the need for exact clarity on what is in auctions. The part would only cost about $10 to get one somewhere else, and I actually did find an adapter in my house last night that has close enough power ratings to work effectively. This has been more of a hassel than a loss. I will continue to use e-bay as I need to, just being more careful what I get.
