yes but it takes FOREVER to compess those files...im talking like overnight..per DVD

ur better off to just download the avi'* off the internet

No way! Dude, no. It depends on your CPU Power. I can do it in like 3-4 hours. But, I have all my fans going full blast and you can't do a damn thing on that system the whole time. Downloading Copywrited Material is illegal, btw .

He never said download, he said convert. That is still (as far as I know anyways) legal, as you are allowed to make backups for personal security.

But, on the topic, I never tried it, so I have no idea how to speed it up except for the regular things. Close all other apps, blah, blah, blah...

There are tons of shareware and "normal" ware products to do this, try 'em out and see which works best on your system
