Yea, NY is just like MA and CT. The gas cap is the perfect size for this and works wonders in the cold or when you need to clean the windows. ANd if I ever spill on the side of the car, I take the Windshield washer brush, get it real soaked, and then squeeze it out over the side of my car.

Yep, that'* the second purpose for my gas cap. It'* a perfect fit.

However, to err on the side of safety, I did have a hose slide out of a handle once. I was doused with gasoline from the waist down. Umm, yeah, once it soaked through to the skin, I was shoving ice in my pants while waiting on the ambulance to come and take me to the hospital to be pumped full of pain killers. So just be careful and watch out for those chemical burns!!!

wierd, next door in new york theres no problems with pumping your own gas and we're even more populated. when did this rule come into effect? was it recently or was it somthing that has been going on for years?

For as long as I can remember it has been "full service" in NJ. I have know idea who they are kidding with the full service part they don't even clean your windows anymore.

What is the reason for being forced to use full service anyway?
