You should ask him about Frankensteining factory tuners sometime. I gave him my 5-band cassette because I couldn't use it anymore...plus the volume button was busted. He looked at it and told me that the amp board is gold since it still works, so he was going to strip the board out and save it.

The man thing i need the new Iron for is the LEDs im going to replace all my Map lights and stuff with.

BTW.. you will need to pull apart the map light to properly replace them.

i understand this... i have seen inside a pinball before, even worked on a couple myself in my day..... but still, i dont have the hand for the guns, i can only use them when i have to heat up something big, i can not really solder with it.. just seems so rediculous to me

A gun is ridiculous for working on a PCB.. Kinda like putting a 454 in a Geo.

Turned properly..using a corner of the tip... gently touching for a millisecond.. I got'r done. Now...once Ryan sends me that new soldering iron station...I'll be all set.
