Default Drove my uncles 2004 GP GTP for fathers day

My uncle stoped by to check out my new house on fathers day. Little did I know he own a 04 GP GTP compet group model in silver. Anyway he let me take it out dor a spin and followed me in my GXP which he said "lets trade".....seriously not kidding...lol

All I have to say is the car flies and had little to no torque steer. I have not driven a 2000+ ssei so if this is how thay drive I can see why you brag so much...lol Well it was a tighter fit than I would have liked but the car was great and power was instant. His HUD displayed XM radio on the screen which I liked. I was expecting more supercharger whine but did not hear much...but it was working cause the car took off from any speed.

My uncle said my GXP was a blast and was very fast but I know his GTP GP felt faster to me. He wondered why my speedo went to 160 and his only went to 140mph?

Anyway I just thought i would share. I love driving different types of cars to compare. I never got to test the tapshift buttons on the steering wheel but oh well.

I'm itchin to drive that 5.3L 303HP V8. My uncle (lol) has an 06 Impala SS in that nice new blue that I really want to drive. Apparently the GP GXP is a bit more of a grunty beast and hase stock Bilstein suspension components.

Sounds like a fun drive either way

One of my favourite features is that little triangular grille behind the front tires.

Yeah the GTP I drove had the series III supercharged 3800 in it but it also had the wider tires in the front like the GXP GP. The GP GXP is the only pontiac front driver that has the Bilstiein parts. I drove a SS impala a while back and it was very quick but I read the GXP with the 5.3 drove better. Still nice cars imho

i love the comp G and have only sat in the GP GXP. I have driven a base GTP and the Comp G and would love to have either/ or. I just like the GP all around feel. The older body styles i prefer(97-03) but the newer ones(my 04) has more room in the inside and feels more comfy!!!
