From what I've heard, the Solstice was designed from the get-go to have the clearances to house a v8. And that GM and Malet were talking way before it'* introduction.

A coworker here has the Z06. It is a very nice car and way more comfortable than the older gen vettes I remember. I've only driven it in town, with the 6-speed stick, so didn't get any big thrills, but I did find out that even with traction control, you have to be careful and light on the throttle. Even with those giant meats on there, it cuts loose on you, lol.

on and they are flipping sweet with the LSx sitting in there. Seen 2 different ones on different occasions.

The price difference = warrenty and experience vs first timmer and no warrenty.
