Default Dont buy this car

Link is here

Its a 2000 SSEi with 154,200 miles, it is missing a few things, most noticably the supercharger belt

When confronted about the problem, the salesguy said it was not required.

For sh*** and giggles we took the car for a test drive (he was insisting).

I was supprised it worked so good without the SC belt.

Among other things it had been smoked in so bad the seats were discolored, we are talking tan seats that were carmel color in ciggerate residue.

I asked him about the SC belt and he said he could fix it if I was "serious" about the car lol. Some people should not breed.

Oh yea it still works fine. It just is as slow as a L27 though. Actually, my car felt like a 99 V6 Stang w/o the belt.

You should have busted one of his legs and when he complained told him that it wasnt required for him to walk.

Reminds me of when I looked at an Intrepid for my mother. She said something about it having AC and the guy said he knew it didn't work. When I asked him why he said because the belt that was on it was for a non AC Intrepid

LOL. its pretty ghetto. its located next to a trailer park which is directly behind the car lot.

In the market for a girly color SSEi by any chance? perhaps the belt issue is fixed by now. At $3500 that car might be a deal. Thats all I'd pay for it. It has obviously been neglected. I have a feeling the oil has NEVER been changed on it since it "maintanence" appeared to have never been performed on it. Dave is a nice guy though, he just needs a lesson in forced induction and how to check for serpenteen belts before selling a car

If anyone was wondering the front most pulley was sheered clean off. the belt was MIA.

I also drove This SSEi for $12000

It felt and smelled like a totally different car.

Hans...please dont assume that the car is bad because of the missing belt.....

I dont see a problem with the SC belt missing, i see a barganing chip

and you DO realize that CAMEL was available in the 00 model year, so it dosent mean that its from smoke

it is camel interior....however you can FEEL the nicotine on the seats. At least I thought I could. Maybe the discoloration was from crack smoke....that dash was sticky ....like a smokers car can get

I should have taken a picture of the oil, completely black and looked like dr. pepper.

Oh, I know where that place is. Across the street from the blood bank! lol! That place has been a different car lot off & on for as long as I can remember. I don't recall seeing a Bonneville there, however. I'll drive by there on the way to a meeting today and see. What you may not know, however, is that you were less than a block away from the Philly Sub Shop - one of the best places around to get a steak sandwich. I'm salivating like Pavlov'* dog just thinking about it. Next time you're in the area give me a call, we'll swing in there.

I bought my Silverado from Murdock. They treated me OK. I'm surprised they didn't take a close-up of the wheel missing the center cap. LOL!
