I dont think alot of those people beat there cars and from my experiences 4 cyls take a beating so amazinly better than a 6 or 8. i.e. my friends grand am 2.5l 88 with 230k ran to the junk yard, my friends 1989 cavi 2.0 with 195k ran it to the junk-yard, my friends 89 cavi 5 speed ran to the junk yard at 234k sorta ran there, compared to my 6000-le 2.8l (tranny went out 102k) friends 89 buick 3.3 (tranny went out 120k) my 88 cutlass 3.8 (engine 154k) my 87 cutlass 3.8 (engine 157k) all just off the top of my head IMO i think 4 cyls can take a beating more than any other engines
