Working at Pontiac I have been under the hood of many G6'*. basically they are good cars. The only weak point is the power steering gear. If yours has the electronic steering assist you will have your rack and pinion replaced at least once due to a "clunk" noise when turning. The converts are sweet, though!

I personally like the 4-door G6. The 2-door has this weird look to the rear end that I just don't like. And do I think they are a "girly" car? The Coupe yes, the Sedan not so much.

I don't think I have seen a guy driving a G6 yet. IMHO, they are girly cars, but you can't fault me for that. Its something in my head you can't really change.

Id like the G6 better if they didn't castrate the production model so much. The concept G6 was a much more styled car. But as usual GM has been castrating many things these past few years and instead of creating something spectacular they stoop down to downright mediocre.

The wife wants a G6 convertible to replace her aging Neon... I've given her the go-ahead, but we haven't made a date with the dealer just yet..

The only thing is... the G6 convertible reminds me SOOO much of the Toyota Camry Solara/Lexus SC430...

I wish she'd go for the Solstice instead!!

solstic is neat but take the word of a guy that works at a GM dealer, get the G6!
