I want a new camera, the one I have now is only a 2 megapixel with 1x zoom or something like that. Kodak Easy Share. What are some good rigs for a couple hundred?

I absolutely love my Canon A95 (now A610)...... 5mp. I chose it over a sony dsc-p73 because the screen resolution is much higher, and colors are more vivid. However, the focus of the sony is just a tiny fraction better.

Its got a swivel screen which i didn't think i needed but now can't live without. With regular cameras you can't hold them over your head or below because the screen goes polar. With the swivel, you can hold it in any position relative to your body.

I recommend Canon because you can usually get a good deal on them, and their lenses, even on the point and shoot cameras, are top notch.

love the sony DSC-P200. its a really small camera and its really powerful at 7.2 megapixels
