By the way. On behalf of my family and I, thank you.

Good luck man, kick some ***, and stay safe. All of my friends that have come back said to bring duct tape, to tape off your sleeves and legs, that sand gets everywhere.

Best of luck..

Step bro said "leave the underwear at home, it only traps more sand"

I'm not sure you want to take his advice... but he was there.

WTF do you think the wet naps are for. Seriously though, they grab the sand off the skin.

Do you know where you will be mobolizing through? I'm stationed down here in Camp Atterbury in Indiana. We mobolize troops from every where east of the Mississippi River. If you come here look me up. Also my wife is stationed in Camp Victory Iraq. I'll keep you in my prayers as well as everyone else. Good luck and God be with you.

I was down in Atterbury two yrs ago as part of the CENTCOM Mob for the Sinai Mission. As for this time of a Mob place, I dunno. I do know ther severly shortened our train-up time from a couple months to maybe one or two now.

As for camel spiders, they are harmless to us. The reason they "chase" you around is to get in your shadow, not to make a meal outta ya. I dont blame'em cause it was hotter in egypt that iraq IMO since iraq has seasons, Egypt has two....winter[75-80] and summer[110-145+]. I think the baby sand adders we had on base were leathal, not only being posionus, but they like to get near groups of people outside enjoying a brew cause of the body heat and they lack rattles that small, so thier sneaky lil bastards.

Most likely you will be coming back down to the land of nothing, Camp Atterbury. I'll ask a few of my buddies here to find out for yea. I just talked to my wife in Camp Victory Bagdad, Iraq and she said that there is a unit from Michigan that is suppose to be coming there to work with them. Judging by your avatar your in the Medical Corps. So is she. But I will find out as much as I can for yea. Who knows orders do change and yours just might.

Lol thats not a medical corps insignia. The med co is a staff and snake, not a cross. I will be going there as SECCOM Mobile and Convoy Sec. Im infantry to the bone.

thats funny cause that is really close to the medical symbal. I'm a Military Pig as the Infantry calls us. But when and if you come here look me up. I'll call a couple of people tomorrow to find out if your coming here. What is your company name?
