The 318 is awesome, in the luxo-barge Fifth Avenues they're quiet, yet still manage to sound pretty beefy. As said, disadvantages are the 3-speed auto.
My buddy'* family had an '86 and '87, they've since moved on to Astro/Safari vans. Awesome cars, my only gripe is the tiny interior space. The entire size of the car went into the hood.

I might seriously consider this car..
it gets better, i sat in it today and what not, we did a mechanical inspection on it at work today, its soooooooo comfortable omg!
It doesnt have 161,000kms on it but 61,000 kms on it, which is like 40,000 miles, it has never not been registerd and insured, always drove, just not far or much...
it checked out almost perfrect, he is going to do the brakes on it all round on monday, and the waterpump at the same time..
geeze if i can get this for a grand cdn..it would probably last me a long time for winter use..
only thing i hate is the fact that it is RWD

yeah they are carbureted..nothin i havent worked on before though lol
