Well, the way that thing came off, it would have had to have had the hub still in it, so add about 40-50lbs to the weight of tires and wheels, figure close to 250 lbs moving at approx 40-45mph, and you've got one hell of sprained ankle!
Looks like they must have had the drums in them as well, and they must have been hot, 'cause something was smoking after it hit him!
