Install the new google toolbar, it blocks popups, lets you use any function of google on any page already, and it'* free, and spyware free etc.

I use Pop-Up Stopper Pro. It works great, it knows when to block and when to allow spawning of new windows. You can "borrow" or "evaluate" it from kazaa.

Red Baron, When your buddy said control panel I am assuming you are using Win XP. Are you getting a Windows Messenger pop-up like the one shown? I disabled mine in XP. Here'* how you do it.
1. Click Start->Control Panel
2.Click-Administrative Tools
3. Dbl Click-Services
4.Scroll down&Highlight "messenger"
5.Right click the highlighted line and choose Properites
6.Select Disabled on the drop-down menu
7.Click the STOP button
8.Click-OK

I also use pop-up stopper but the free version and it does work. I never get unwanted pop-ups. Heres the link.

Its ironic how most of those pop up ads give you the option to go to their website in order for you to pay $29 bux for software to disable the messanger ads when Windows itself has the option to shut it off.

Thats the price of ignorance for ya

Thats how you make money..Pop up a window saying the only way you can stop windows like this is to buy the program. It'* a free thing for them to do if they already have computers afterall.

The version of XP in my office/room is fine, but the one in the sunroom was always a PITA, so I took up Aviators instructions and fixed it..

No more Messenger style pop ups
