Damn Ford truck... but ya gotta love it.
With my car being temporarily out of commision due to a MAF issue, I get to rive my beater Ford truck for a while.
About Thursday I noticed that it seemed a bit louder than normal. Friday driving to work I saw a muffler on the side of the road and said "hey, that looks kinda like mine". I didn't put 2 + 2 together yet. On Friday night I stopped to look under my truck and guess what was missing. Yup, my muffler was gone. Now I'm running a 300ci straight 6 on a 3" straight pipe (until I get it fixed). Gotta say, sound like a big block with the lumpy cam sound and all.
Now today I went to tackle another issue. All my parking lights went out. Obvious guys says fuse, right? I checked and replaced every fuse in the fuse block, no go. After an hour of searching thru my house I finally found the other half of my repair manual. I had pages 1-246 to start with. The fuse panel was on page 247...lol. Ofcoarse they didn't list what fuse was for what, but they did a have a poor photograph of the fuse block in it. The photgraph looked just like mine except for one thing. There was a fuse in the lower right corner that I didn't have. I figured what the hell. I went outside in the pooring rain (again) and threw a 15amp fuse in there. Damn if the parking lights didn't just pop right on. I really have no idea what happened to the original fuse.
At least now I can drive at night and not get pulled over.

You just can't kill those 300 straight 6'*, my buddy had an 82 f100 with a cracked exhaust mani and screeching belts, it sounded like crap and looked like it was barely running, but it did almost 50,000 miles like that, they just don't die.

Gordy, wasn't there a big hole in that muffler last august?
My Dad used to have a big-a$$ Ford with the same 300ci motor, only when I lost the muffler, it came off at the front first, hit the ground, bent back under the truck, and dragged until a speed bump ripped it completely off!!
