The only system that gets messed up by weather is Satellite. When there'* heavy severe weather, or heavy snow storms they cut out.

Broadband is a general term used for high speed internet. Anything that'* faster then dialup is broadband.

When I had DirecTV (got Dish now), rainstorms would barely affect the signal :?
