Yeah, considering Dodge/Mistubishi were pushing 320 HP from the same size engine 11 model years earlier in the Stealth R/T Twin Turbo and 3000GT VR4.

I'm guessing the M Series will take up the slack, probably getting an extra 50-75 HP along with all wheel drive (maybe all wheel steering also like the Stealth/3000GT).

Nonetheless, I'm sure it'* one hell of a car, coming from Beamerville.

This has more power then the Last M3, the M3 isn't a power beast, it'* meant to be a stripped out, lighter car, more hardcore, and better handling. The 335 is a regular loaded 3 series with a lot of balls.

However the next M3 is getting a V8 derived from the V10 in the M5. However there are better ways at getting 400 HP IMO.. I kinda wish the M3 would be turbo'd..

Yes the 335i is held back alot. The computer is tuned for emissions so it can meet regulations. Actually the engine is believed to make a little over 330hp when not held back.

Did BMW change their naming system? I just watched a video the other day, and some official at BMW was explaing their naming system, he said the first number is the series of the car, and the next 2 are the size of the engine...he gave the example of a 325 is a 3-series with a 2.5 liter engine.

So wouldnt that make it a 3.5 liter instead of a 3.0? Im not trying to be nitpicky, just asking a question.

Twin turbos is not boosted?

I wonder how big the turbos are on this 335. Smallllll peeshooters designed for low boost and zero lag?

I think the other reason for the inline 6 is torque. The 07 335 is all new from it'* 06 version. So far, you can't buy an automatic tranny. They've had problems with the torque in motor breaking the automatic. BMW is supposed to be releasing a new tranny to take the abuse. For similar reasons, the all wheel drive version isn't out yet.... They estimate another year for it.

Got pics! It'* nice! The pics don't do the color justice. It looks like just a glossy black paint until it gets in the sun. Then it looks like a gun metal black with a heavy metallic flake.

18 inch rims with runflat tires.

It'* got a kickin Hardon Karmon stero.
