Harofreak..good point- my cams a 3mp wallyworld wonder- I've drank for 40 years and my hands arent as steady as they once were. Definately getting a Digital SLR and a tripod. Course if I've had my couple of cans of medicine my hands are cool. But 3Mp just doesnt cut it

You don't necessarily need DSLR for a good picture, I just use it for aperture and ISO control and the other benefits of different lenses. The problem was the lights, you need to turn up the ISO on the camera to the highest setting, or make the aperture larger (assuming you can't do it with the camera you have). No one has a steady enough hand to take that kind of picture.

That paint job is gorgeous.

Also, don't worry too much about megapixels, the quality of my 4.1 and 9 are really hard to tell in a normal picture format. Unless you're doing studio lighting style pics of a car with a VERY detailed paint, you would never notice. Even then, you'd have to blow up the picture pretty big to tell. I've made posters of similar pics from each camera and you can't tell which has higher megapixels.

Makes enough sense, only problem is the pain in the wallet, but if thats not a factor, can't go wrong. (Excuse my run-on sentences)

BTW, MP don't really matter on a cam. All of my pics are with a 2.0.
