Room means a lot when it is your office. Get in an impala with an in car computer, cage, and center console, then a CVPI. The CVPI is spacious campared to a similarly outfitted impala.

Fantastic88 they really use 04 Impala SS'* as chase car? Seriously that is sweet those L67'* do move well, and uhh did it look stock or did it have the light bar and grill guard. Sh*t glad I don't live in MN haha they all have Vic'* around here, and my Bonneville blows all of em off!

i once saw a GP GT give the cops quite a run for their money on Wildest Police Videos.
also lets remember that most NAed 3800s are governed at around 110, which most cops are going to want to be able to go faster than that...and custom PCMs on every squad car? not happenin.

i actually DID test that theory once, and no i wasnt running from a cop, i was seeing if i could keep up with , luckily he didnt have rear facing radar or i probably wouldnt have a license today.....in hindsight probably one of the stupidest things ive ever done...

In town around where I live in MI they use Impalas. On the freeway its still crown vics, but I guess they like the Impalas for around town better or something? Not quite sure but I can imagine that the gas mileage difference (would be noticable around town for sure) and winter driving might have made up their mind. I'm not sure. I do know that the Police Impalas are governed at 118. They also have the 3.08 gearing, not 3.29 like L36'* usually do, nor 3.33'* like was said earlier. Really the only major drivetrain changes are the 3.08 gears and a power steering cooler. I looked up what the Impala police package included and thats about all it was. Which is why in the end a normal L36 w-body will walk on police Impalas all day long, due to the impalas having taller gearing and a lot more weight with all the police equipment. But it doesn't matter if you can outrun them because the piggy just gets on his radio and you're caught anyways.
