there was hardly any dirt on the other side of the filter, so im not sure how this stuff got through...and as im typing this, i remember that i forgot to take the stuff out haha.

Goo thing you still had it installed.

Shouldn't this be in the general section considering this IS car related and a good thing to point out???

good thing you caught it, you might want to investigate to see how it got in though.. I'm thinking of getting a new MAF sensor personally that doesn't have a screen installed. That thing is RESTRICTIVE on the 3.5!!!

BTW, the "GXP" board is also for Northstar engines.. it would have fit in there.

yes im sure the 5 ppl that frequently visit that board would have found it to be invaluable

i just thought it would get noticed more here, as it is a somewhat important matter.

mods can of course move it to wherever the feel is best.

I know a fair amount of people don't visit the lounge all that often either, that is why I suggested the general section, even though it is not Bonneville related, it would get the "best" exposure there and it IS car related and can help all of us out.

I'm surprised that got through a filter...if it did actually go through the filter. Maybe there was some dirt and crap inside the airbox from sometime prior. Perhaps something fell in there when changing the filter. :? I'm not sure what exactly those bits are but I wonder how much damage they would really do. :?:

That'* is most likely what happened. All that crap falls in the other side of the air box and gets sucked in the engine. That is why I won't remove my MAF screen. In fact, I have to replace mine due to me screwing it up.
