I lived here in 1980 when it went off the first time, we felt it clear up here in Woolley (180 miles). Ash was a foot deep on I-5. You can still see the 100' high mounds of ash the cleared out of the Columbia river. It was so cool!

Most of the ash cloud went East and a little South the last time. I think my sister said (she lives in Woodburn Or.) that they had a few inches of the grey stuff, but the weren't up to their "Ash" in it like they were in Yakima and Kennewick who had several feet, yes I said feet. In fact it drifted clear to the east coast.

There was measurable ash in Japan....went East all the way around. They proved that some of the ash several days after the eruption on the West coast had actually gone all the way around.
This eruption is going to be TINY in comparison.

There isn't much left, the first time took off 1,500 or so feet off the top. It'll just fart and everybody will go "Cool!!" "It sucks to live in Washington" and they will move somewhere else and leave us alone.
