OK. Im in ER and this man comes in and says. I havent peed in three days. So I get him in a room and feel his bladder and its like a freakin rock. He can barely bend over and he'* in alot of pain. This is my first day in ER. SO I go out to the charge Nurse and tell them the situation. They tell me to put a cath in the guy. This was my first Cath on a guy who is awake. I had to stick a big ole " tube" up his 'beep" so he could pee.

Dude! It hurt me to have to do it to the guy, my boy was aching. However, when I reached the bladder and urine came out it was very red. He ended up having to have tests run that evening to see what was going on. I suspect that he may have had prostrate cancer. The cath didnt go in well, but, come on, when is a cath going to go in well when your awake.

Exciting stuff..

that hurts just reading it.

I hope I never have to have one of those. If I do, I wish to be put under!!
