If it'* an el'cheapo power supply..... 450w is the MAX output... which means it could run as little as 300w sustained....

Antec, Enermax and other good brand names, rate their power supplys differently then the el'cheapo (chinese) ones..... trust me... I see it every day.

If you paid $30 for your power supply you paid too little.
I'd spend no less then $50 on it.
(Cdn of course )
Yes, the brand makes a huge difference. Foxconn is a good brand that is VERY affordable, as Antec, Enermax, Vantec and such are more expensive. Raidmax is in the middle as far as price, and they are good PSU'* too.

Jim, did you remove that "automatic reset" check box?

If so.... write down if you get any STOP codes....

I dont have the computer with me, however once I do the new RAM and PSU then I will take a look into stop codes, if the problem persists.

I'd look into the stop codes first.... no sense in replacing the ram & psu if you don't need too.

I'm betting its RAM.

Thanks for all the posts guys.

I have bought a new 400W power supply for safety. They are also swapping the old 512 DDR RAM for a new stick of 512.

Hopefully I will be fully operational tonight!
