Bill and boosty had a difference of opinion in some threads. It transcended to PM'*, which we are told got heated and violated some of the rules on the site. After reviewing the PMs and a unanimous decision by the admins/moderators, Boosty was given a week off, and sometime during that was moved to a full ban due to some other issues.

Absolutely wrong, Geoff. It had nothing whatsoever to do with Bill and Bill.

People only get banned for disagreeing with Bill if the topic of discussion is that person following the rules.

Alright. I am going to stand up along with the rest of the entire staff on this forum. I have read this a few times and compiled a few thoughts.
For starters, I personally, do belive this was created to stir the pot. Which, in any case is not right to do. To go ahead and make a post suggesting that other members of this forum support "purpledinomotorsports" is almost foolish as it can and will create much negativity toward not only you, TJ, but Bill Boost as well. One must realize that, what if, the general public of this forum think or belive that he, Bill Boost, is behind some of this? How does that make him look? Does that create an atmosphere that would make anyone feel he should be back on here at such a time? Personally, No, it does not. In above posts, the emoction of beating a dead horse was posted, which what it all boils down to, is true. If you feel that such material as this needs to be posted, however it something, as in this situation may "stir the pot", it needs to be ran by someone on the staff side of the forum. I am not really sure on the reaction you hoped to receive, however you chose to post this TJ, and this is the reaction to your action.

I am speaking from previous experience, as in the past, several members have been banned either permanetly or temporarily, when something like this is sparked up, it never pans out well in the end. Publicly posting support for a banned member is not something we will tolerate, period. I apologize if you expected something different.

I honestly see no point to this thread aside from stirring the pot. Your very first comments make it clear you knew what you'd be getting into. Decisions were made (not easily) for a reason, and attempting to support a banned member in this way is completely uncalled for. This is getting old... Please just let it go.

I am saddened by this idiocricity that has continued. TJ...it'* obvious that you first concern was raising support for "purpledinosports" = Boosty....what motive would you have for the club to raise money? That would be rediculous. Bad decision...yes. You've admited that.... let'* not cover up the real motive though. You wanted an unbiased Mod'* opinion...you got it.

And for all of you who are pissed/confused because Boosty got banned because you don't know the why'* or how'*...get over it. I have spent more time with him than I have some of my own family members... we've planned/executed several HUGE and HIGHLY successful meets together....we spent two week together traveling over 6000 miles going cross country together to attend WCBF 06. In the end...stuff happened....he got banned...move on.

He still calls me...I still answer....is he still a great guy who helps people out? Sure. Do I respect his knowledge? OF course.... Do I feel that his generosity towards other members are as immeasurable as the oceans? Definitely.... But even I supported the ban based upon the facts of the events that went down.

And are we still friends after the dust has settled? Of course...because we are grown ups...time for everyone else to act more grown up too....

You said Support... that would imply that there where clear sides to take (side with one, and against the other) and since Bill wouldn't the seeing any profit from this, thats how I have to take it... and in the eyes of the rest of the staff comes off as stiring the pot, whether you think so or not.

you acknowlaged that you knew this would start a flame war, and yet you posted it anyway. :? Id like to point out that NO member off the staff is flaming you or even Bill, we're simply stating the facts as they are. You have to realize, that like you, Bill was a pesonal friend to more then one Member of the staff, and yet we still unanimusly aggred that the only way to resolve the issue was that Bill had to be Banned, we didn't like to have to do it, but what had to be done, had to be done
