I had one a couple years ago when I turned 50. The worse part of it was the 'cleaning out' the night before. Don't leave the house after taking that stuff. It draws every drop of moisture in your body into the colon. For the actual exam they put you half under & tell you let them know if you feel any pain. If you say anything they finish putting you under. If they find any polyps they remove them during the exam. I was polyp free & don't have to be checked for another ten years. Better to be checked every 10 years than risk having a polyp turn cancerous.

Versed can make you say some strange stuff LOL.
One of my co workers, just now turned 51, had a polyp removed last year, and just this week had his prostrate removed. Gonna be out for 6 more weeks. I imagine he is getting tired of having those exams too. Didnt smoke, ate healthy, not an ounce of fat on him. No one understands why his body is turning on him lately.

But if they do find any polyps, they STILL have to go in the "Ol' Fashion" way to remove them. I had the "Ol' Fashion" procedure done a few months ago. It was an easy operation. Even the night before "prep" stuff wasn't that bad to take.
