Congrats! After many, many years I now find myself back in the classroom full time. Just completed my first semester as well. I'm in a medical lab tech program so hopefully no one will be needing my services any time soon. I gave accounting a shot long long ago and yes it was boooorrrriiiiinnnngggg!. Decided it just wasn't my cup of tea. Respect to those who do though, lots of cash to be made.

yea thats kinda why im doing it, bc of the money and the job security, everyone needs accountants if their business is to survive, and i guess also bc of my dad, he used to be an accountant but then moved to computer sales and is now the manager of sales for a small branch of HP computers worth about 100mill a year, and i wanna be an accountant bc i will always have him to back me up if i get lost, i got an expert, which is a big help. Crece, my mom and sister are both nurses so i kinda know how tough its gotta be for you, good luck

Interesting, my brother in a CPA and he has done very well. As for the MLT program, I really like it. It fits my background and interest. I wish I had known about it long ago. Plus even though I'm broke I have the time to dedicate to my studies and am doing very well so far. Much respect to your mom and sister, there are not nearly enough nurses so they are always understaffed. the nurses.

thanks a bunch, they are both very good workers and would put a few of us guys to shame, the 2 of them work 12 hour days 4 days a week making sure ppl dont die, and if your broke and you can still find time to study in between work, more power to ya.

Congrats. I am 34 and started college for the first time in my life in January. Accounting major here as well. I should have went right after high school, but I joined the Navy and I don't regret the decision one bit.
