Chrysler announces LIFETIME powertrain warranty!
If the warranty is not transferrable (as mentioned earlier in the thread) I wouldn't even consider it. I'm not a Chrysler fan to begin with, but from a financial standpoint just can't justify this. I picked up my car for more than $20K below the original sticker price as a dealer demo. I just can't see taking such a hit in depreciation. Much as I'd like a "Brand New" car, there are far too many great deals on great "slightly used" vehicles to make this offer sway my thinking.
Most of their owners won't buy w/o a serious 100,000 mile warranty because of all the trans issues. However..if you can afford the gas that a Chrysler/Dodge suck down per mile..you are better than me.
Just saw a Jeep commercial for the lifetime warranty. Fine print at the bottom at the end said does not apply to SRT and Diesel.
Not sure if that'* all Chrysler, but it probably is.

I'm sorry, but with everything I've read on Chrysler as of late, I'd imagine that they are on the losing end of the stick already and trying to get a little money in their pockets before they disappear. It'* that or Mercedes is giving them an awesome transmission upgrade? I wonder if they DO tear Chrysler apart if Mercedes will still honor their claim. You know full well someone in one of those two companies has their fingers in the cookie jar, if you take my meaning. It has ENRON written all over it!

I am pretty sure the K car saved Chrysler not the 5 year thing plus I think it was the 7/7 they really pushed
