300,000 minivans have a problem where moisture leaks in and destroys the air bag circuit, and we get This from Chrysler???

UPDATE: Chrysler informs us that this is not an official recall, but rather a "safety improvement campaign" that was reported in early January.

"Safety Improvement Campaign"? Can they twist something any further from reality?

Smart Cars are killing people right and left, and the Feds keep allowing them in under exemption from safety standards which don't go far enough in the first place. Some deeply lined pockets are allowing these cars into our ports and across our borders.

Just incase this isn't graphic enough, they have pictures of the guy that was inside. His waist up on one stretcher, hips down on the other. That really got my stomach churning.

DAM! Kevin. Did you see how far that Mercedes penetrated into the Smart'* cabin? Even if the airbag saved your brain and spinal, the lower torso has to be wasted. While I guess arguments could be made they are still safer than motorcycles, why even have these safety regulations, Agency'*, and tests if they are going to allow these sedans on the street. Makes you think it'* all about the money. And who'* pockets get lined.
