And i know it first hand now,
On my way home from my Paint Certifacation program traviling on the 401 near Weston Rd (Toronto guys will know the area) Traffic was going around 60-70(at the most) then quickly came to a stop in fron of me. So i stop then hear(and feel) a loud bang and glass shattering.i refocus my eyes and see the pop i hade in the cup holder fizzing over. I quickly realiz what had just happend, i look into the rear veiw mirror and see a guy running from the car that fit me. I took a second to gain my barings and get out of the truck only to see that the glass i hear was from my head snaping back and taking out the rear glass (thank god i wear a hat and wasint cut)
I cant full recall the sequence of events full, but i remember the guy that hit me say to eather the off duity parametic that showed up OR the cop or both that it was his falt because he had just looked dow for a second then looked up and he had no time to stop. hears the kicker on that one, he some how got my buddy phone# (the owner of the truck) and told him that it was my fault because i lane changed and he had no time to react Anyway i wrote my statment got a QUICK check by a paramedic then things where cleaned up and i was ready to go. So being the nice guy i am, i went to the guy that hit me and aked him one more time if he was ok, head said "yeah im ok, im really sorry bud it was totaly my falt" so any way i got the truck towed to my work like the cop said i should do and had them pay the tow bill then i went home. wear my dad insisted i go the hospital to get checked out. i got there at about 7:45 (3.5hours after the accedent) got checked out by the nerse, then but the doctor, i was about and hour since i got there at this point. he sent me for x rays (yay more waiting ) get then all done then go wait MORE when the doctor comes to see me again after about half an hour he Imediatly put me in a neck brace because it looked like i possible had a cracked vertibry at the base of the skull. im made to wait lying on my back for an hour to get a catscan get that donewait another half hour+ till they come and say it looks like theres no cracks so i was ok without the brace, but there will have to send the xrays out to a specialest and i might still get a call back if he finds anything :(

So anyway needless to say im in a little discomfort today

Thank God your alright - that'* first! BUt wow, thats something else It should be evident that it is the other drivers fault - especially since he admitted it. Good luck getting it all settled

Looks like that receiver saved the rear of the truck, nice.

I have a class V receiver on the bronco, i doubt it would bend before the chassis.

Geeze Pete! That rear window says OUCH! all over it! Man its great to hear your OK though! You'll be sore for a few days alright, probably more so in a day or two than today. I think all pickups should have AL7'* in them just for that reason! Imagine if you had no hat or it was higher speed. I've driven in that mess and the stop and goes are ridiculous!!!

hmm, maybe it was fate that your engine blew. Otherwise you might have been in that same position with the Ei, and I can pretty much guarantee that it would not have turned out that well Glad you're ok man. But, umm, I still don't quite understand why the window broke.
