I like it! My wife can't seem to understand why I wanted an SS/SC. Now I think I like this even better.

The 2.0 SIDI Turbo'd Ecotec is WORLDS more advanced and powerful then the SC'd one. Turbos don't have to be laggy at all, my GTI will rip them free at any part of the rev range if you've spent some time and gotten used to the powerband relative to the pedal.

If this SS was out 4 months ago, I would've actually considered it. I didn't even bother with the SC.

As for power potential, The motor is ridiculously capped by the ECU. I'm still trying to get my dad to trade in the N/A for the Turbo..

That is a very nice powerplant.
Look at the difference in the HP/torque curves of the turbo vs the SC.
Lots of potential there with that engine.

Oh thank god they finally turbo'ed those. They didn't impress me much with the supercharger.

Absolutly. Table top torque curves aren't acheived naturally. There'* power there just waiting for a tune.

Even the N/A solstice is woken up A LOT (for an N/A car) by the ECU. But yeah, when it'* a completely flat line, somethings being clipped off.. The OBD 3 (IIRC) ecu in the GXP also has a lot of safety features in it. If any of a multitude of parameters are off, it starts killing power.

First time my dad drove my car, he asked me as he got out, " Is that what the GXP would be like?"
