There are not any NEW scan tools that I am aware of for under $200 that display KR. Used, you might be able to find an Auto-X-Ray for under $200, but for it to display KR, it needs to have been upgraded with the enhanced GM parameters. It might do OBD I as well. Search their site to see what model might do OBD I and II and KR, and then keep your eye out for a gently used one.

Aren't O2 sensors and knock sensors "live"? According to scanguages'* "addAguage" capability, and this pdf, it can scan (in real time) KR, a/f ratio, tranny fluid temp, etc. And you can put them on the display as a guage, aswell, just like you can with the LS1M. I thought the PCM pulling timing via knock retard in real time would be considered "live" but maybe that'* just me.

just scroll down to scroll down til you find GM, you'll see the enhanced perameters such as KR.
