Changing of the guard
Friends,
Over the past few years, I have gradually grown less involved with Bonneville Club. It has always occupied a special place in my heart, and it will continue to do so, but I have decided to pass it along to new hands. Yes, Bonneville Club has been sold.
It is therefore with much excitement that I introduce the new owner, Peter Davis. When I set out looking for a buyer, I wanted to be sure that the character of Bonneville Club, the very thing that keeps you all coming back, would not be lost. The buyer would need more than money; he would need the dedication and skills to retain the spirit of the community. Peter fits perfectly.
No stranger to forums, Peter has several others, including ones for coin collectors (http://www.cointalk.org) and for writers (http://www.writingforums.com/). Those have been successful under his leadership, and I know that Bonneville Club will likewise continue its run.
We hope that many, if not all, of you will continue to visit and enjoy Bonneville Club. You all have made this community into something special, and I believe it will continue to flourish under new ownership.
Thank you for everything,
Jeff

Well, that explains a few questions I've been having...
Sad to see you go, Jeff... You created one of the greatest forums ever, and hopefully that legacy will live on. You will be missed...
Well I do hope that you will at least drop in to see us every once in a while? But either way, I can totally understand and respect your decision, as surprised as I may be, but I'm sure it'* for the best. BC still rules!
A special thanks to you for keeping this forum running since 2002, even after your Bonne got smashed. :( Most forum owners just simply shut a forum down when they lost interest in it or became less involved, but you kept it running for us, and that'* the best thing.
Sad to see you go, but it'* totally understandable when you have lots of stuff going on in your life. Thanks for everything, without this forum, I would have sold off my Bonnes, and still be driving piece of junk cars that I paid $300 for.

WOW...
Jeff, I don't know quite what to say here...
Thank you for the years of commitment to the forum. Thank you for doing everything you've done to keep this community together. I can't imagine too many others who would be willing to go as far as you have to keep us bums happy. I know you've spent a lot of time, effort, and money over the years to keep this place running.
I can only hope that Peter is as dedicated as you have been to keeping the site running smoothly.
And you BETTER visit. After all, we're family...
BTW, what'* he drive?

Jeff'* rank is pretty appropriate already. Looks like he made the change himself. (village idiot doesn't work any more).
Peter actually talks. Well, types anyway. He'* been yakking with the moderators for a couple days now. Check out his other websites. He runs a pretty clean ship. It'* tough to do the same with an automotive forum, but this is probably the best place in that regard already.
We have 3-Pete now.
