Default Which Cell Phone should I get?

Money is sorta capped at $250 or so. that would be a ebay price, so whatever marked down from that a 1 year plan would get me.

AT&T is pretty much the only option around here, there is verizon but I hear bad things about coverage in the mountains and roaming charges once you get "into the country" around here.

US Cellular the other big player had something just this last weeked where they were SWITCHING PEOPLES PHONE NUMBERS AROUND

There is also T-Mobile but they look like a serious ripoff.

Anyway So probably Cingular/AT&T which phone should I get? V3C razr?

oh yeah we dont have GSM here either.....well we do but it is only with AT&T and twice as much per minute...so I probably will go non-GSM and want a good phone

One you can download pics to your computer. I have to send phone pics by email for an outragous price by cingular. Other than that they have good coverage everywhere where I go.

Don't get the Razor...its nothing but a playtoy. It'* flimsy and easily broken. You can get most if not all of the same features in a V551 (or whatever supercedes that now)...thats what I have and its one of the more rugged phones I've had.

Stay away from cingular. Im locked in for two years and I get allot of dropped calls/dead zones. Go with AT&T. I dont know much about their plans, but Cingular was an easy choice because we got the family plan w/rollover minutes, but thats about all I like about them.

I used to have Verizon, HATED THEM.... Droped calls, Missed calls, voice mail two days late...

I now have Cinguler, I LOVE THEM, no missed calls, no droped calls, and 5 Times better Voice quality!!!!!!!.....

never had a problem with them for the past year. I would go with who ever has the best covarge in yor area, and DO TRUST the companys website for that, search on websites and forums, ask around....

and AT&T is no more.... cinguler has taken them over about 1 year ago and you cannot get them anymore...

Cell phones/covarge/price/quality/service does VARY ALOT from state to state so check around you town ask people what they use and how well it works...

I couldn't disagree with you more. It'* very hardy, tough, and durable. More than almost any other phone I've owned. It'* built strong intentionally.

I owned (and still do) the V551 (V557 is current) and the RAZR is tougher. The RAZR also uses a standard USB cable or bluetooth to send pics to your 'puter if you choose. It will also charge from USB as long as you have 30% or more remaining.

Well I am currently on cingular. I have had my Razr from the first day they came out on ebay and as far as ring tones and pics and what not you can buy a bluetooth usb adapter and send stuff to your pc and to your phone so you can get free ringtones and what not. Now with Verison'* v3 its different they blocked the bluetooth so you cannot do anything via it. BUt you can buy a usb b cable for around 4 bucks on the net and it will work with the phone. On the V3 from cingular you can creat new themes and download new things that you cant do on the V3c. I would go with cingular. also t-mobile is a rip off half the coverage area that Verison and Cingular have.

If you end up goin with cingular and get the razr you can email me and I can help you with the mods that you can do with the phone. I have all the files and a bunch of other stuff.

I'd suggest anything Motorola, for sure, I've owned two which I loved. I know a few people who are really happy with their V3 Razors. I have a V710, which was the best thing feature-wise until the Razor came out (dang them) and I love it.
