Now that is a great idea! I'm really going to need that Aquagate. Perhaps the case won't look as clean and good as Bandit'*, but at least it'll be vile! What a weird mod I'm planning...

Bump. I've had a ton of PC work happening. Here'* an onslaught of pictures! I took them all with my cell phone.

This shows a hole saw, some wires, hinges, and random case parts from another "mod" I'm doing. It should turn out nicely. I'm basically trying to take the HP out of as many plastic pieces as I can.

This might be too dark, but it'* a picture of a heatsink not sold anymore. It'* a Scythe BAT1VS, and it needs some sanding. I'm not satisfied with its cooling performance, and the original mounting kit has been lost. Fabrication time!

The aftermath of PC slaughter is shown here. On the chair is a "sealed" paint booth.

This motherboard had died, and the processor is a 2GHz Celeron with a Socket 370 heatsink on it. The memory slot now properly holding the memory stick had been damaged, and I'm not yet sure about the fate of the hard drive. This computer will work!

Preparing the CD burners...

This paint booth'* "seal" is held down by my lousy clear corners.

Pictured next to this taped off case is the hole saw again with more cardboard around and some Bonneville trim pieces in the background.

Here lies what'* left of the original few pictures. I drilled out every single rivet from the case guts, and they're going back together with something strange, I hope. I did a test spray on a part of the case with some black metal paint, and it didn't hold too well. More sanding...

This tiny power supply will soon power one really awesome setup.

Almost finished DVD burner

These are some guts from a torn apart Gateway. Take that, cow people! It'* going to go back together in a new laptop chassis. The old one is... um... unavailable.
SSPX0030.jpg

Here are my spare wires "cushioning" my speakers. I will have a shortage of wires by the time I'm done.

It used to scare me too but I have a computer downstairs that is water cooled and has been running strong with no leaks for over 2 years.

Instead of gently closing the laptop, someone smashed the lid and broke some things. It'* salvage work, and now I have a broken laptop chassis at my disposal. Who wants a broken laptop shell?
