Case mod build thread with pics!
Here are the first 3 pictures I have of the case stripped out to nothing but metal and then some random stuff in a bag.

The first order of business is to sand it all down to be really smooth. Not in the pictures is the back plate that holds the motherboard. It'* not really necessary for the pictures, though. What do you think it should look like? I'm going for polyurethane coated cow veins, a heart-like thing, and watercooling blocks because the ventilation inside this is pretty much not truly possible without more modding than I think I may do. I want it to be all self-contained, and as you may be able to tell, there is a missing hard drive cage from below the CD drive area. That should make it really interesting.

Watercooling still scares me...I toyed with the idea for my new pc, but opted out.
Can't wait to see what ya crazy mind comes with as a finished product.

I have been running the Coolermaster Aquagate Mini R120 in my wifes computer for about 3 years now and haven't had a problem. It is a completely internal kit and I have an extra if you are interested. Google it and you will see how nice it is. I love it and it keeps the Opteron 144 running at 35c on low and it'* oc'd to 2.5ghz from 1.8ghz. PM me if you want to discuss anything.

Hey, I've actually already got a Coolermaster Aquagate 120. That thing really is awesome. I love it, and I used it to keep my Opteron 148 cool before I upgraded a couple times and went to the Core 2 Duo 6600, soon to be the Core 2 Quad Q6600 that I'll get this Friday.
I'm soon going to take some pictures of my two cases that were hand-painted with oil-based paints and then lacquered insanely by this guy:
http://www.mural-zlovic.com/
One is painted like a bright stone enclosure for an aquarium, and the window looks like there are fish swimming around inside. The cracks in the stone are so realistic that you have to touch them to believe that the case is smooth.
The other case is painted like old wood panels. It'* so freaking awesome!

You have some very good input, though. Blownville, I may need to take you up on that offer for the radiator and such. It seems interesting. I'm first going to cut away at the case and make lots of drawings, so the innards won't be going in for at least about a month or so. But when they do go in, it'll be awesome! I just need a way not to have the cow veins rot... :?

Does anyone have any cow vein preservation techniques? Also, would it be wrong to have the computer play a heart beat while working?

What about clear/translucent rubber tubing that you could alter to look like veins? You could even use red fluid for your liquid cooling to give it a flowing blood effect.
That would cancel the smell of rotting flesh and bacteria, and I'm sure the other house members would be grateful.
Second thought....
Maybe run 2 radiators, 1 red and 1 blue for veins and arteries.
