its not carfax on that one, its some asshat at the dmv that selected the wrong title for it after it rolled 100k and was retitled

Well isn't it interesting that I could have bought a car off a dealers lot and not been aware it had been through a Manufacturers buyback? I wonder if they can strip the title'* scar by going to a different state, or as simply as marking As-is on the car?

I am looking into how it happened. My biggest concern is what defect(*) caused the buyback. Maybe better it went in the first 20K miles instead of after it ended up in my garage.

It'* been pretty good to me - almost 40K miles in 16 months and only a ride height sensor and wheel bearing replaced. 129K total now and runs as good as any car I have ever driven in my 22 years behind the wheel.
