Got the 91 Civic DX hatch, 1.5L automatic for $500 and currently have the equivalent of 165,000 miles on it. Enjoying 32+mpg city without pussyfooting around at all. It'* a lightweight car, I really can't complain about the power even.

Being a DX its DPFI... If you swap the intake manifold/wiring harness to a MPFI (Available on 88-91 Civic Si'*, Civic LX'* (sedan) CRX Si'*, CRX Hf'*.. etc) and the ECU to a PM6 (get an 88-89 since they are cheaper) you can get an increase in MPG. A guy I used to talk to on an old forum did this on his crx dx, and he went from 30 to 35 mpg if I remember correctly. Huge increase. You can get this all for under $100 as well I bet.

Sorry, thats the end of my seizing of the thread. lol

Thanks everyone, I've decided not to do it. I do plan on getting rid of the caprice for something more fuel efficent. Hell I'd really like a */c bonneville to replace it. I've owned both NA bonne and */c bonne and I have to say that if a NA is all I can find I'm gonna go a different route, but I did buy my g/f;* */c bonne for only $450.
