sounds good to me. cause i was just thinking last nite that it might cause lots of fights with repair shops like if the thing says a transmission replacement is $750 and the shop charges $2000 or whatever oddball price, people could start getting heated.
Fab... save your money.
I have two tuner/scan tools and you can hit up the parts store for any quick code reading that occurs. Unless you heavily mod your car (which Justin and I aren't going to allow yet) you won't need anything more than a quick scan or trip to my place.
Once you get a better handle on the car, what your typical desires/needs for info and codes etc are, then consider spending the money.

ok thats fine by me. we'll prolly end up stopping by tomorrow if your free. justin took his computer out last nite but i guess he said you need the laptop or something. we think its either a misfire or indeed the transmission. i think its the transmission he thinks it might be a misfire. we'll see. let me know if tomorrow'* ok and the wkend is open.
