I can't seem to get a private message actually sent off.

I'm logging in, and can get into my message info area ok.

I can create a message, hit submit and then get a notice that my message has been sent. But nobody ever answers me

Now I see that some messages have been collecting in my outbox, but I can't get them to go out! I don't get anything in my sent box.

The rest of the messages--I don't know what happened. (I have the usual gnawing thought that I'm doing something really stupid again)

I'm not using AOL (or would I ever)

Any help appreciated.

A message stays in the outbox until it is read. Once who you sent it to reads it, it is moved to the sent box.

When the recipient logs in, and the message is DELIVERED to their inbox, it moves from your OUT to your SENT. Not when it'* actually read.

Should be in your sent now.. I got it and read it

Always thought it was the other way, thanks for the correction.

ok, great! I've got two in the sent box. Yours went over simultaneously with one to Boosty. Maybe he just came on.

The others I must have screwed up somehow. I'll just always check to make sure I do get them to my outbox, at least.
