Cable H e l l
Ok, Friday. Charter guy comes and takes the modem and shuts the cable off. Turns out we forgot to pay the bill 
. No biggie, except we didn't have enough money. So we had to wait till monday to pay. Scheduled for Wednesday. Didn't come. Mad, I called them and they said that they call twice to make sure someone is there or they will cancel it. Never got a call from them. Anyhow come Thursday they come 3 hours late and re-activate it. Another aganizing thing was I was to install the equipment myself. I picked it up and they gave me the wrong power cord, and they we're closed now. Thank goodness the cable guy had 1 with him. Now everything is all honky dory. Plus we got a package so I'm paying only $85 after fees and taxes for 5M internet AND I got an upgrade to digital cable 
which gets me a couple more channels that I really liked that used to be on basic and was moved to digital.
So I lived a week without cable and internet. I didn't know I was so hooked to these two. It was the most boring agonizing week of my life. Except for being in/with my car of course.

I had my cable turned off many months ago and don't miss it a bit. I didn't watch much tv to begin with....
Internet I think I would die without. I went from 3mb cable to 10mb Fios. Its rated at 5 but I get 10-12mb down easily and about 1.1mb up.
well ok I wasn't trying to turn off cable.... Bandit had mentioned that when he called to cancel his RR they up'd him to 10mb and lowered the price just to keep him. When I called and did the same thing they said "ok, its off now, please drop off the equipment." LOL so I cancelled cable too since I've been thinking about it anyways and was pissed now.

My room mate had cable and he left, without canceling. So now I want to get cable and there is a $250 delinquent bill left on our apartment. I have to go get the lease and prove he'* gone, and hopefully they don't pin me with the bill (well, there is no way I'm paying it, but I don't want them to nag me for the money at all). I might not have internets for part of next week!
