Well, it clunks, feels like it flexes at shifts, idles badly, and otehr various little problems. I guess I am gonna go and look at the 97 SSE near me that needs the trans.

well if the cars is under $1000, i say still get it, things can be fixed, and thats a rear car with that motor in it...
but its up to you :?

Well, turns out the source of the clunking is the absence of a dogbone mount, and the wobbling is that it needs a rear cradle alignment, and it needs a shift adjustment, and the dash needs calibrated with the PCM. I told him in my email that I will buy it for $600 cash, no more than that. Other than that, if he won't accept my offer, I mayb be buying markviiisvt4'* '97 40th SLE.
