Default Business Plans.......

I know when I ask for a 100k loan someone is going to want a business plan. I never did one for my business but for this new one I will need one. Can someone send me one of their business plans so I can see what I need to do?

You're buying a business so you'll need all the financials and info from how it is, and your plans, A business plan is more for creating a business, and "selling" it so you can get investors.

It'* a lot more detailed creating a business plan than one can imagine, definitely not just copying someone else'* format. Different businesses require different types, different structures (LLC, vs partnership, have different formats).

I don't think you'll find many business plans from anyone here.

As a good starting point, what I would do is ask the bank what they require. They'll be able to clearly indicate what elements they'd be looking for when it comes time to underwrite your potential loan. All lenders will tell you this. It'* in their best interest to do so, otherwise they're wasting a lot of time starting the underwriting process.

A few things off the top of my head you ought to include are:

Expected monthly and annual income/sales
Fixed expenses (property taxes, depreciation, insurance, etc.)
Variable expenses (gas, lights, etc.)
# of employees
Projected growth
Target market demographics
Marketing plans
Amount of $ in a contingency fund (unexpected repairs, etc.)
Backout strategy (if all goes to hell, how do you plan to repay them)

I was just about to suggest that....LOL
Another resource might be you states employment agency. Ours has classes you can take for free that will help guide you in setting up a business so that would include a business plan.

A few places in SW minnesota have great SBA'*, and incubators offering cheap leases, etc.

I have a business plan i created in my entrepreneurship class, and a few other examples, but like damn near anyone with one, it'* not exactly thrown around for good reason

That was the point I was getting at when I said "you're not likely to find one here". They're usually kept in personal safe keeping.

I see. Well this is my plans, talk to SBA, then to the accountant, talk to other big business owners that I know pretty good so they can help me out, then find 2 others to go in with me. I have talked to 2 that are very interested already.

Surround my self with millionaires and I will find out how to get the money =)
