I don't mind Bush...I think he'* doing an okay job (not the best president we've had, but a far cry from the worst). I must say though, I was quite tempted to vote for Edwards had he won....oh well.

Your taxes go up under democrat rule simply because of the after effects Republican spending. America has debt upto its eyeballs.

We actually do know a thing or 2 about American politics even tho I wave a CDN flag
Granted there are bills and past debts that need covered. But taxing the H3LL out of Americans who make under 30000 dollars a year. Not everyone can afford an extra $10 bucks taken out of there checks every two weeks. If your a parent than you know how great it is to see that child tax credit raised. When you have kids every little bit of money helps. Democrats think that everyone makes 50k per year and can afford higher taxes. Face it. Theres only so many positions out there. Theres not a white or gold collar job out there for everyone. If I remember from history class that high taxes are one of the reasons for the revolutionary war. We are letting ourselves be taxed to death. As for the loss of job I strongly believe that there were two factors to that, the clinton administrations screwups and 9/11. Besides the president cannot create jobs. He cannot tell the American people to go spend money, he cannot tell the companies to start hiring or else. He has been doing a good job at helping the economy by trying to get corrupt corporations and cutting taxes so that Americans have a little more money to spend. Bush is doing his best, and I dont think Kerry can do any better.
I agree. The economy was on it'* way down before Bush even started campaigning. Our economy does this cylical up and down every 5-10 years. During the 90'* personal debt soared as folks bought the latest and the greatest. Then when fully sated and in debt, there is a period of decline that follows It'* not any president'* fault. Look at histoy it always happens. We can't blame him for the economy. Actually, his tax cuts are working and things are starting to turn around, albeit it took a while. Again, I agree with you!

I liked Edwards too. If he would've won it would've given me much more to think about come election day.

Actually, if Kerry is smart he will pick Edwards as his running mate.

As for the economy, keep in mind the state governments have a part in it too. No one can rightly put the blame solely on bush. Bushs tax cuts are a huge help though. I also defend Iraq decision. If anyone has seen any of the programs about the mass murders of woman, babies and children and the mass graves. Hussien was pure evil, maybe even more evil than the devil himself. Bush saved so many lives by stopping that goof. Whether or not he had WMD'*. WHo cares. The right thing to do was to get rid of saddam. No one in there right mind would say otherwise. If you still think it was a mistake. Look online for the videos of the many mass graves full of babies and children who died at the hands of saddam. Look at those. Mr. Bush I solute you .Its about time a president has the balls to stand up for whats right. Who cares if we didn't have the UN'* Backing, the un is corrupt.

We cant really say much about leaders not being able to speak *cough* *cough* Jean Chretien.

As for bush going into Iraq, it was a good thing and I think it would be looked on with more positive thoughts if it hadnt been done in such an underhanded way. He went in claiming to be looking for WMD'* and when he didnt find any, he didnt admit what he had made a mistake, instead he switched his stance to human rights.

The second part is he has now opened up Iraq'* economy to 100% foreign investment instead of the Iraqi people. This opened the doors for American oil companies and this may not have been his intent but a move like that makes it look like Bush was in it for the oil.

Back on the subject, I dont care if either wins what I found most astounding was how big of a deal everybody (news, print media and the watercooler) made about Dean and he was one of the first out of the race

After seeing threads like this on other boards - this is going to get locked.

After 8 years serving under Clition I have rejoiced having a real commander and chief!
As for what the world thinks of us after Iraq? F'em they did not help us before 9/11 and stopped soon after. UN is a joke anymore. A modern Leege of Nations now. All they had us do is babysit Saddam. I watched a aircrew get killed in '99 on the JFK just to babysit. The BS about the WMD is true but could he really gotten on TV and said this guy is pure evil and up to no good and we are sick of playing with him I just want to finish him off so we can move on? NO So he made a point that was true and Saddam really was not gulity of not haveing the wep'* or a program, he could of let the UN in 6 years earlyer and ended it. As for job'* pheew- that was Clitions bubble bursting after he left. Plus having the worst attack on the US in over 40 years whlie being office less than a year did not help. I don't know much about Kerry but he could do a better job than Gore. It should be intersting this fall. Said and done I don't think he'll make it- like Sr. he say something stupid (some of you allready quoted it) and we have shuch short memoreys that we don't think about that 1st year when they both did their best work and had the most support of the poeple.

I think bush mainly did it to strengthen our intrests in the region. Just look at what is happening over there. I think it was a good thing for the mideast and if we can do it right it will be a good thing for america too. Ur right about the UN they are too weak in most instances to really do much about any real threats.
