Yeah HL2 changed my life, it doesnt have much replayability though, so play it through on hard the first time around to make it last longer.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is an excellent single player RPG if you like the RPG style games but dont want to have to go online to do so. Its very open ended and you can spand countless hours playing it without even beginning the main storyline, in fact you dont ever have to begin the main storyline if you dont want too.

Far Cry is good, I was pretty far into it on the hardest level on my desktop, then I forgot to keep my saved game when I got the laptop, havent been eager to start over, plus Im having VIsta/Far Cry issues that require large downloads. It was getting really hard though, and although they claim you cant quicksave, you actually can via the console.

Kind of a throwback, but SWAT 3 was a good tactical-style shooter, havent played SWAT 4 yet, but its on my list of things to buy haha. Just adds some interesting elements to gameplay, such as the enemies are preferred alive as to dead, and you get penalized for exercising lethal force if its not appropriate. Its good times.

Well yes that is true, but CS:Source on dial up is a nightmare, in fact Steam on dial up is a nightmare in itself.

Sins is a fun game but it won't tax your vid card all that much with settings maxed out.
I must say that one of the best FPS' I have ever played is F.E.A.R. It'* a few years old but still has incredible grapics. Never played the 2nd bit, the Perseus Mandate or some such. But the first has an incredible story line with some very challenging AI. I still go back to it from time to time and blow hours playing through it and still get shivers. I'm only running a single BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC.
You can try Bioshock, I heard that was a pretty good one.

And for overclocking:

Got Bioshock on the X360, still haven't finished it...

Cracked her open and redid the cabling inside, really cleaned it up.

Specs since my internet went down on me an hour ago when I was typing it up here... Pix coming in like 2 seconds..

Antec P180 Black
Gigabyte EP35C DS3R, SATA3, RAID, DDR3 capability
Intel Core 2 Quad, Q6600
Corsair XMS2 2x1gig matched, 5-5-5-12, 1066 clocked DDR800.

XFX 8800GT 512 GDDR3, Alpha Dog Edition
I/O Magic/Samsung 20x Lightscribe DVD writer.
250 Gig Seagate SATA3 HDD.
Coolermaster Real Power Pro 750w, overkill power wise, but who knows what i'll need in the future, and @ $60 for a top tier PSU, i can't complain...

I've played HL2 though, used to play CS back in the 1.x days all the time too. Definitely getting Starcraft II whenever it'* out. The free version of farcry is locked down, I guess i should've gotten in on it almost a year ago when it was released. I'm sure it'* cheap enough now anyways.

Might pickup supreme commander, i was huge into the original C&C, and it seems interesting, prob isn't too expensive now, my bro has it, and my rig is setup great for it.

Hardware wise, i'll prob get another 2 gig of the Corsair. May do some slight OC'ing with this HSF, the CPU isn't the bottleneck at all in games, that'* the vid card, not that i'm going to be struggling with anything for a while...
