Brian Wells Pizza Bomber
Anybody remember this. It was like 3 1/2 years ago. This happened in my hometown and I was right in the area when it happened.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Wells
guy delivers a pizza to a rural area, is forced to put a collar bomb around his neck and rob a bank. When he gets out of the bank the cops stop him and the bomb goes off taking his head off.
This has been on Unsolved Mysteries and National News.
Well local news said it has finally been solved. They haven't said who yet though. Interesting.
And, yes, you can find video of the bomb exploding if you look for it.

Funny story....
My oldest brother was working at Damons the day that it happened (for non-Erieites, the Damons is essentially across the street from where this happened). He and a few coworkers went out for a break and couldn't figure out why all the cops were up by the McDonalds.
Said he saw the bodybag being put into the ambulance.

Heh, don't worry, I couldn't make it either.
I plan on getting up to Erie to run with the Misery Bay region of the SCCA this summer doing AutoX events.
Sounds like a perfect time to have a meet to me
