I did the same thing a few months back working on my brother in laws - it was a 1/2 craftsman breaker bar (18 inches, plus 3.5 feet of pipe). A few months before that, when I did my own struts, I destroyed my socket, and had to buy impact sockets to finish the job.
And of course, I also don't buy any non-lifetime warranty tools... it'* not worth it, IMHO.

yeah but at HF all there hand tools have the same type of Warranty as Craftsman 
so i just walk in and go "it Broke" and i get a new one
