I attended the vigil Friday night. It was hard to go to, both because reality hit home and because you can really tell it'* rocked our community. Overall it was a good vigil, but politicians and media alike used it to garner interest.
Someone needs to tell our secretary of state that a prayer vigil is NOT a good time to talk about the necessity of gun control. :?
On the upside, our community is really pulling together for support and recovery. I've never seen so many people wearing NIU colors in my entire life. There'* counseling being offered everywhere, and there are memorial funds going. I'm proud of this community, and still proud of NIU.
