The cop or aviator type glasses are the only ones I'll wear.

Walgreens sells some great $10 polarized glasses that I use in the car. They were just running a 2-for-1 deal on them, but I'm not sure if they're still doing it. The glasses darken everything to a reasonable level, and the polarization really helps glare. I've cooked myself on a beach in Mexico and those glasses kept my eyes from even feeling the fatigue.

HOWEVER.... I just got an awesome pair of Serengeti's for when I'm flying. They stay in my flight bag and only come out when I'm in the plane, but they work great. Available in many frame styles, the lense to get is what they call the "Driver" lense. You can get them polarized or non-polarized, and they greatly enhance definition and clarity of objects. The president of my flight academy swears by them; in fact, he gave me this pair for free!

Long story short, go to Walgreens for good polarized cheapies, and check out Serengeti for some high-quality sunglasses.

finally, a stamp of approval for Serengeti's. I also have the "driver" lens. In fact, they are Corning optics lenses. I lost my first pair in a ass over tea kettle suv accident and went right out and bought another pair to replace them. Wife thought I was nuts to basically pay $200 for sunglasses, but they are worth it.

Cheapy Wally World specials (Foster Grants) picked up last night.

WTF happened to my HUD... damn polarization...

Still on the hunt...and now..non polarized is part of the criteria.
