Ive been using black on black Spy Microscoops for the pst year. Love them. Probably not dark enough for your liking though. I wish they were polarized. I need to get another pair of polarized for fishing.

I've got a pair of revo'* i'm not sure what kind of technology they us ein makign the lense but when i have the glasses on i cant see my HUD and color LCD readout (ATMs specifically) have stranges patches of various colors

I wear Costa Del Mar sunglasses, currently two pairs. Blue lenses for salt water fishing, and brown lenses for regular use.

There is a difference between these and cheap polarized lenses, every pair of cheapies I've worn offshore, the salt spray has taken the coating off of the lenses. I've had mine for about 2 years now, and they are still perfect, I broke a lens once, but they replaced both for $40. They cut the HUD a little, and they turn black cars funny colors when viewed through tinted windows. When you are fishing there is nothing like them (except Ocean Waves) because you can see into the water and look at the fish while you are fighting it. They also cut a little glare off the roads.

they are about 2 years old and dont even have one scratch on them...

They cut out the glare really well, and i can sell throw peoples tint and windshelds like they where clear ... gets rid of all the glare on them.

NERV, you probably have polarized lenses. With polarized lenses you can see tint patterns on windows, and a sort of rainbow affect when you look at sunlight reflected off transparent plastic.

You can test for polarization by putting your sunglasses on and tilting your head from side to side while looking down the road and facing the sun (so you get maximum reflection). If the road gets brighter as you tilt your head, your lenses are polarized.

That'* too funny. I've run over a couple pairs after they fell off my head when I would lean out and look under my rocker panels to check the clearance under my Jeep while offroading.

Boosty, I can vouch for both the cheapies and expensive lenses.

Walgreens sells some great $10 polarized glasses that I use in the car. They were just running a 2-for-1 deal on them, but I'm not sure if they're still doing it. The glasses darken everything to a reasonable level, and the polarization really helps glare. I've cooked myself on a beach in Mexico and those glasses kept my eyes from even feeling the fatigue.

HOWEVER.... I just got an awesome pair of Serengeti'* for when I'm flying. They stay in my flight bag and only come out when I'm in the plane, but they work great. Available in many frame styles, the lense to get is what they call the "Driver" lense. You can get them polarized or non-polarized, and they greatly enhance definition and clarity of objects. The president of my flight academy swears by them; in fact, he gave me this pair for free!

Long story short, go to Walgreens for good polarized cheapies, and check out Serengeti for some high-quality sunglasses.
